Keratin Treatments
-
Keratin is a type of protein found on epithelial cells, which line the inside and outside surfaces of the body.
Keratins help form the tissues of the hair, nails, and the outer layer of the skin.

A Keratin Treatment is designed to reduce frizz, smooth the cuticle, and leave your naturally curly hair feeling soft.
It also strengthens your hair and creates shine.
This treatment helps increase color longevity by decreasing fading due to shampooing, sun, or pool water exposure.
-
After your hair is washed with a clarifying shampoo, cleansing the oils from your hair, keratin solution is applied section by section. Itβs then sealed with a blow-dry followed by a flat iron.
This process may take 2-4 hours depending on the length and density of your hair.

If you have curly or wavy hair, keratin treatments can also make your hair smoother, sometimes straighter. It makes styling and finishing your hair easy.

The Treatment lasts up to 2-3 months and may last longer depending on your at home regimen.
Using the appropriate sodium chloride free shampoo and conditioner will help maintain your hair after the treatment.

48 hours
Why do I have to wait to wash my hair? We recommend that you wait because it takes 48 hours for the JUVEXIN to form a stronger bond to the hair cortex. If hair is washed right after the treatment, some or most of the Juvexin may wash out and the results of the application will not last as long as desired.

Yes. However, both chlorine and salt will shorten the life span of your keratin treatment. We strongly recommend using a Leave-in Spray to help minimize absorption of salt and chlorine.
After swimming, you should rinse your hair in the shower rather than sitting in the sun with salt or chlorine residue left on your hair.

No. This treatment is not recommended for individuals that are pregnant or nursing. Please talk to your Doctor before receiving any chemical services if you are pregnant or nursing.

Do not wash your hair for 3 days after the keratin treatment.
Keep your hair loose and clear of any hair ties to prevent any strange creases or dents. Don't even tuck your hair behind your ears!
Choose a sulfate-free shampoo (SLS-free shampoo) and conditioner before washing your hair. Using sulphates can harm your keratin and make it less effective.
The most essential thing is to avoid using clarifying shampoos, which might strip your hair of the treatment or cause uneven results.
If you have any questions consult your hairstylist.
